Collins Ugochukwu (PhD), Board Chair
Collins Ugochukwu, is a scholar with several academic accomplishments and reputation, having acquired doctorate (PhD) degrees in the fields of both toxicology and environmental resource management. He writes publications for journals on environmental issues as it affects the ecological balance. He has served as a consultant for several multi-national organizations in regions of the world with high prevalence of environmental pollution. He also lectures college students and has traveled around the world to give seminars on environmental issues. He leads a global campaign to create awareness on the impact of oil and gas pollution on the climate and balance in the ecosystem.
Madu Choice, Director
Madu Choice is the president of USafricare and was named CEO in March 2007 to spearhead the organization’s growth and quest to accomplish its missions. Madu (short for Madubuike) began his career as a graduate assistant, where he lectured undergraduate medicine and biochemistry students after completion of his first degree in medical biochemistry. He also performed environmental impact assessment for an oil company in the eastern shore of Africa to determine impact of oil pollution on biodiversity. He subsequently pursued degrees in computer information systems and management. He is the president of Digital network Solutions, an IT infrastructure support firm, located in the Washington DC area of USA and is most recently immersed in non-profit management and community building. He is a strong advocate of “giving back” to the community and currently heads a “food and cloth drive” campaign for the less privileged and orphans in the Washington, DC and Maryland metropolis.
Dr. Festus Uzoho (MD), Director
Festus Uzoho is a medical doctor with extensive experience in AIDS and HIV, having worked several years in South Africa, one of the countries with highest prevalence of AIDS. He was trained at Howard university teaching hospital in Washington, DC and has performed extensive management care for HIV and AIDS patients in full time practice in a region with HIV prevalence rate of 30% during his work in South Africa.
Dr. Hanna Uwakwe (MD), Director
Dr. Uwakwe is a medical doctor with great wealth of knowledge on AIDS in Africa. She trained and has worked with AIDS patients in sub-Sahara Africa. She is very versed and passionate about stopping the spread of HIV and AIDS and has been involved in numerous non-profit efforts and public advocacy.
